Each home size is a typical furniture list plus the box counts from a moving guide. Our packing fills about 70–80% of a truck; a careful pro load fits more.

Will big items fit?

Tightest fits first. Headroom is the space left above it as loaded; at the door is the clearance getting it in.

Notes on these numbers

SOURCE CAVEAT: every uhaul.com fetch returned ECONNRESET; all values come from WebSearch results that quote uhaul.com pages (the search tool returns a summarized answer with quoted fragments, not the raw page), so check asWritten punctuation against the live page before publishing. U‑Haul states all rental truck and trailer measurements are approximate. No loading ramp. No Mom's Attic (N/A in U‑Haul comparison table; not stated in words on the 10' page). outsideHeight is the page's 'Clearance Height'. Disagreements: U‑Haul truck-sizes guide (https://www.uhaul.com/Truck-Rentals/Moving-Truck-Sizes/) and a 2023 U‑Haul blog give 9'11" x 6'4" x 6'2" and deck 2'5"; the blog gives max load 2,810 pounds. UPack (third-party) also shows 9'11" x 6'4" x 6'2". GVW 8,600 lbs. Outside sizes are left out on purpose: the source gives a clearance height or numbers from another page, not the box size. Cross-check 29 Oct 2026, inside.width: Most independents (UPack 2026, move.org, dealer pages) say 6'4". Cross-check 29 Oct 2026, inside.height: Most independents say 6'2". Cross-check 29 Oct 2026, maxLoad: Only one independent (move.org) matches; 2019 cheat sheet and U‑Haul's own 2023 blog say 2,810. Wheel wells (29 Oct 2026): Likely has small wheel wells inside: the deck is 29.5 in and the tires about 29.3 in tall, and U‑Haul's sales spec puts the rear axle 45" from the back of the box. No source gives the well size, so they are not modelled.

Loading tips for this truck

  • The door is 5'7" high but the inside is 6'1": tall furniture has to be tilted to get in, then stood up.
  • A king mattress is too wide to stand up straight in here (6'1" inside): lean it against the side wall, as our picture does.
  • Load heavy furniture and appliances first, against the cab wall, and boxes last on top.
